Wylundt's Book of Incense

by Steven R. Smith

1989 by Samuel Weiser, Inc. (ISBN 0877288690)

Wylundt's was likely the first practical book about making incense cones and sticks.  Although it unfortunately advocates the use saltpeter in incense, this is still a good book with much to offer.  Only about the first 30 pages or so actually focus on making incense, but the additional information includes tons of recipes (which can easily be reformulated to omit the saltpeter), conversion charts, magical correspondence lists and more.

Although it is now 15 years old, its information is still valuable to home incense makers and those who use incense in magic.  The lengthy recipe section also functions as a mini-herbal, so if you want a combined herbal and incense making book, this might be a great choice.  Still in print by popular demand, it deserves a place on the book shelf of any magic user.
